folks, it's long past time to cut the middle class back into the deal, so they can benefit from the economic growth they helped create. folks, there used to be a bargain in this country supported by democrats6 and republicans, business and labor7. the bargain was simple. if an employee contributed to the growth and profitability of the company, they got to share in the profits and the benefits as well. that's what built the middle class. it's time to restore the bargain, to deal the middle class back in. because, folks, when the middle class does well, everybody does well-the wealthy get wealthier and the poor have a way up.
you know, the middle class is not a number. it's a value set. it means being able to own your home; raise your children in a safe neighborhood; send them to a good school where if they do well they can qualify to go to college and if they get accepted you'd be able to find a way to be able to send them to college. and in the meantime, if your parents need help, being able to take care of them, and hope to put aside enough money so that your children will not have to take care of you.
that's the american dream. that's what this country was built on. and that's what we'redetermined8 to restore.
in order to do that, it's time to have a fair tax structure, one that values paychecks as much as unearned income and inherited wealth, to take some of the burden off of the middle class. it's time to close tax loopholes so we can reduce the deficit9, and invest in rebuilding america - our bridges, our ports, our highways, rails, providing good jobs.
with corporate10 profits at near record highs, we should encourage corporations to invest more in research and development and the salaries of their employees. it's time for us to invest in educational opportunity to guarantee that we have the most highly skilledworkforce11 in the world, for 6 out of every 10 jobs in the near term is going to require some education beyond high school. folks, it's long past due to increase the minimum wage that will lift millions of hardworking families out of poverty target poverty and in the process produce a ripple12 effect that boosts wages for the middle class and spurs economic growth for the united states of america. economists13 acknowledge that if we do these and other things, wages will go up and we'll increase the gross domestic product of the united states.

A baby born in the United States will use in his lifetime 30 times more of the world's resources than a baby born in India. Unless all the countries of the world take united action to deal with the population explosion there will be more and more people fighting for a share of less and less land, food and fuel, and the future will bring poverty, misery and war to us all.
For most of the developing countries, it is a good idea to control the population growth. For example, China has carried out birth control for years. And this plan has a great effect on the world population.
If the population continues to increase, if the air and water continue to be polluted, if we don't do something to protect wild-plant and wildlife species will be declining. Species and biological communities have difficulty adapting to change. Economic opportunities and the quality of life of future generations are also put at risk. One day in 1819, 3,000 miles off the coast of Chile, in one of the most remote regions of the Pacific Ocean, 20 American sailors watched their ship flood with seawater.
They'd been struck by a sperm whale, which had ripped a catastrophic hole in the ship's hull. As their ship began to sink beneath the swells, the men huddled together in three small whaleboats.
These men were 10,000 miles from home, more than 1,000 miles from the nearest scrap of land. In their small boats, they carried only rudimentary navigational equipment and limited supplies of food and water.
These were the men of the whaleship Essex, whose story would later inspire parts of “Moby Dick.”
Even in today's world, their situation would be really dire, but think about how much worse it would have been then.
No one on land had any idea that anything had gone wrong. No search party was coming to look for these men. So most of us have never experienced a situation as frightening as the one in which these sailors found themselves, but we all know what it's like to be afraid.
We know how fear feels, but I'm not sure we spend enough time thinking about what our fears mean.
As we grow up, we're often encouraged to think of fear as a weakness, just another childish thing to discard like baby teeth or roller skates.
And I think it's no accident that we think this way. Neuroscientists have actually shown that human beings are hard'wired to be optimists.
So maybe that's why we think of fear, sometimes, as a danger in and of itself. “Don't worry,” we like to say to one another. “Don't panic.” In English, fear is something we conquer. It's something we fight.
It's something we overcome. But what if we looked at fear in a fresh way? What if we thought of fear as an amazing act of the imagination, something that can be as profound and insightful as storytelling itself?
It's easiest to see this link between fear and the imagination in young children, whose fears are often extraordinarily vivid.

Genghis Khan, “Khan of Khans”, was the great leader of Mongolians. At the end of 12th century, he united Mongolian tribes and challenged other powers to expand his huge Mongolian empire, which extended from South China to the Caspian Sea.
In 1277, Khan attacked the West Xia Kingdom (presently Ningxia) and encountered strong resistance. He died of disease and age. The great emperor was later buried secretly according to Mongolian custom. It says that after the burial 2,000 men were slaughtered by some 800 soldiers who were in turn executed so that the location of the real tomb remains a secret.
There are four sacrifice ceremonies held annually to commemorate the great hero and leader of the Mongolian people. The ceremony, held on March 21st on lunar calendar, is the grandest. After the ceremony, horse racing, archery and wrestling are held as entertainment.

今天我演讲的题目是《细节决定成败》。
和在座的各位朋友一样，我也喜欢看书。高尔基曾经说过：书是知识的源泉，书是人类进步的阶梯。
随着“创建学习型机关”活动的深入开展，局里给我们全体干部职工推荐了一本好书——《细节决定成败》。
汪中求的《细节决定成败》一书我是在这样的心情下阅读的，起先很不以为然，但读完几天后细想，此书还是很符合中国国情的，也符合并适合用于各个行业各类职工。
我想作为一名乡镇财政所的财务工作人员，所从事的工作就是一件很普通很平凡的事。但是，把这项工作做好得到上级领导认同，下至群众满意也不是一件很容易的事。因为财务是一个综合业务部门，所从事的是税收及经济核算。大量的工作都是一些琐碎、烦杂、细小事物的重复。每天都是反反复复做着同样的事情，看似简单、容易，却不能粗心大意。就一件简单的事，不同的人会做出不同的结果。
“要想把每一件简单的事做好就不简单，把每一件平凡的事做好就不平凡。”细细品位这句话很有哲理，对于税务部门核算出应交地方税务局的各项税金;对地方财政部门又要核算出财务的各项重要指标;对于乡镇财政所在周一至周五都要做出核算及办理业务。从这一件件看似简单容易的小事可以折射出每个财务人员的工作态度和工作人员本身的个人素质。从办理业务的群众反馈意见就可以了解到我们这项工作做的成功还是失败。
要想把这项工作做好，首先，作为财务人员必须端正态度。具体来说财务工作也是一个服务行业，作为财务人员首先想到的就是让办事人员感受到热情舒服。每周只有五天进行现金核算，这就要求财政工作人员作好细节准备。如：汪中求的书中举了大量的例子，有因细节而成功，也有因细节而失败。可是在这些表象的'背后，除去机会和巧合，拂弄的命运之手上刻着两个字：“细心。”其次，要调查好各单位所需的现金数额，然后在超出所需数额又不违背现金库存额的要求情况下，去银行取出现金。在进行业务授理时，按先后顺序给每个办理业务人员进行业务处理。遇到不合理财务要求的凭证，财务工作人员要做好耐心的解释工作，告之正确的方法，我想这样做起来即做好了自己的本职工作，又方便了人民群众，即使得不到好平，我们也问心无愧。
总的来说，我在以前的工作中有时的细节工作确实是忽略了，有时虽然注意到了细节但懒于去做，通过读这本书使我体会到必须强迫自己去注意细节，强迫成规律，规律成自然，好的自然习惯便是成功的一半。

八月的草地早已没有了夏日的生机。一位刚刚入党的警卫员过草地时为了抢救陷入泥沼的文件箱献出了年仅18岁的宝贵生命。当他渐渐沉下去的时候，手里还紧紧攥着一块银圆，这是他的第一次党费，也是他最后一次党费。炊事班老班长为了让三位小红军能走出草地，想方设法为他们弄来吃的。青稞面吃完了，挖野菜、草根充饥。野菜草根没有了，他自制鱼钩钓鱼为他们炖汤喝，而他自己却因饥饿、劳累，永远留在了草场上。

大家好！
今天我演讲的题目是《国学经典 代代传承》。
小时候就很喜欢读书。在众多的国学经典著作中，我最喜欢读的莫过于《三字经》了，也经常读给女儿听。有一天，四岁的女儿跑过来对我说：“妈妈，我给你背段三字经吧？”还没等我反应过来，她就背了起来：“人之初，性本善；性相近，习相远……”。听着女儿稚嫩的声音，我想到了自己小时候。
那时，家里很穷。我的妈妈是一位地地道道的农村妇女，一字不识。当其他的孩子依偎在自己母亲怀里，听着母亲讲故事，读三字经的时候，我是那么的羡慕。妈妈看穿了我的心思，而她却什么都没说。当邻居有事不在家孩子没人照顾的时候，妈妈会把他家的孩子领到我家，把家里仅有的好吃的拿给他们吃，那也许是我和弟弟期盼已久的。当时我不明白妈妈为什么要这样做，现在我明白了，她是用她自己的行动向我传授三字经上的美德。
女儿继续背着：“昔孟母，择邻处。子不学，断机杼。窦燕山，有义方，教五子，名俱扬。养不教，父之过，教不严，师之惰……”。我眼前出现了上小学时候的往事。那时我成绩很好，妈妈觉得农村的教学条件比不上城里，她几次三番的去求城里的亲戚，最终把我转到了城里的小学上学。她曾说即使砸锅卖铁，她也要为了我的成长，给我营造一个好的学习、生活环境，使我能像城里孩子一样健康茁壮的成长，接受到尽可能好的教育。妈妈虽然不像其他人的妈妈那样饱读诗书，但她就这样用自己的实际行动向我一点点地传递了三字经的人生哲理，让我明白了在生活中怎样去对待人与事，如何找到人生的坐标，如何培养自己的品质。
在《三字经》等国学经典的陪伴下，现在的我成为了一名教师，对于自己的孩子，我尽量的用我所学的知识给她创造出良好的学习氛围。对于我的学生，我一直在不断改进自己的教学方法，发挥学生的主观能动性，在教学过程中给学生营造一个良好的学习环境。我经常用一些国学经典中的例子去启发我的学生。现在我们学校又发起了国学经典诵读的读书活动，我相信，学生懂的了礼、义，一定能更出色。
女儿停了停，喝了口水，又继续背着：“香九龄，能温席，融四岁，能让梨……”。相信大家都知道这几句主要讲述的是要让儿童懂礼仪要孝敬父母、尊敬兄长的例子。虽然时代不同了，但是这些中华民族的传统美德不能丢，需要我们在生活中去传承。在生活中，我不但带女儿读三字经，给她讲其中的含义，更用我妈妈传给我的方式，在生活中践行三字经的真谛。上学时，我会让女儿和我一起跟父母说再见；妈妈生病躺在床上，我会让女儿和我一起给妈妈捶背；妈妈不开心了，我会和女儿一起想办法，哄她开心……当我备课睡着了，女儿从床上爬起来给我盖毯子的时候，我是那么的感动；当女儿把自己最喜欢的玩具送给其他小朋友的时候，我是那么的欣慰，这难道不是在一代代传承国学经典的过程中所收获到的宝贵财富吗？
女儿终于把她会背的背完了，然后她祈求道：“妈妈，继续教我其他的吧！”我点了点头。我想说诵读国学经典真好！

大家下午好!首先祝大家教师节快乐!我今天演讲的题目是《我的教师情结》。
教师，是多么神圣的字眼。曾经有很多类似于“腊俱成灰泪始干”的千古绝唱歌颂教师这一职业的崇高无尚。我是一个平凡的年轻人，回想自己走过的二十多个风风雨雨，我发现原来自己平凡的足迹有着深深的教师情结。
小时候，老师是我最崇拜的偶像。在我的文章里，常常出现“粉笔的灰尘染白了老师的双鬓，换来的是我们的茁壮成长”。这些文字应该是心灵最深处对教师的认知和理解吧!每当有人问我的理想是什么的时候，我都会自豪的回答：“做一名老师，语文老师。”殊不知，这个回答影响着我，让我一直向这一理想努力。
高中毕业，我毫不犹豫地在自己的志愿中填上了师范学院。进入这所学校让我离自己的理想再近了一大步。努力学习，积极大胆组织各项活动，只为“学高为师，身正为范”。要为人师表，怎么可以让自己停下学习的脚步呢?只有自己具备丰富的知识，闪光的人格魅力，我才能感染我的学生，教育他们。
在大学生活即将划上句号的时候，新苗来到了我们身边。深刻地记得黄董和唐总在学院招聘时的场景。仔细倾听唐总对新苗所组织的大型国际交流活动“金紫荆大联欢”和“中国儿童文化年”的介绍，我被深深地吸引。从前的我从来不曾听说有着这样一个国际文化艺术交流的行业，更不明白原来教育可以通过交流的方式得到升华!我被震撼了，更被这种伟大的事业而感染。这种交流事业不是比光荣的人民教师更加具有前瞻性和引领性吗?人民教师旨在传道授业解惑，而将教育升华、将中国教育的成果即文化艺术带出国门，走向世界，让世界了解中国的教育，了解中国的文化，这是多么让人振奋的事业!
我庆幸自己参加了那场招聘，因为它改变了我的人生，我顺利地进入了新苗这个大家庭。进入新苗我才发现，这个朝阳的事业并不象自己想象的那么光鲜，那么简单。因为前瞻性，所以不能被所有的团队所接受;因为将交流学习与旅游融合在一起，所以我们在做交流专家的同时还得做导游;因为我的稚嫩与年轻，所以我无法用自己的付出让新苗马上有实质性的收获……我是一名宣传企划专名，但是我从未忘记自己国际文化交流专家的身份。我尽着自己的每一份力量，希望自己的微薄之力能对国际文化交流事业有所促进。当所有的同事都在操作国际交流活动时，我则在思考怎样以独特的视角对我们所做的伟大事业进行推广和宣传。很多时候，学生都不会知道刘老师是谁，但是在自己的岗位上，我得到了不一样的回报。学生收获了，进步了，我感到欣慰。我感到自己的理想得到了超越!
今天是教师节。从去年开始，这个特殊的节日成为了我自己的节日。第一次过教师节，心中激动，波澜起伏。而今天这第二个教师节，心中更多的是对这份事业认知的沉淀。这是一个极力和提醒我们的节日。它告戒我们，作为教师，作为国际交流专家，我们需要坚持不懈的毅力、支持以恒的努力、永不停止的开拓、广而高知的推广。我们需要付出太多，但是我们有足够的信心。大胆往前走，我的教师情结也将在这份事业中成为永恒!
