Then I knew that finance covered a wider scope and researcher needed strong academic background and ability on macro-control by practices and analysis of cases. For example, I acted as a leader of group, each group represents an enterprise and discussed whether open new produces instead of old produces, I told every member to answer for a part and consult materials, then we talked about them together and found some materials had superposition and didn’t have close logic, even each member had different emphasis and expressions which made me know cooperation was very important in a enterprise. So I held the second meeting to talk about these questions. I asked all members to look for materials relevant to this case respectively and then analyzed them together. During the process, we thought about them deeply and fully, finally we got a best scheme.
Through this experiment, I became lover finance major than before, because it not only brought me model and data but also interest on (in) connecting knowledge with practices to make data and model vivid. Even each new idea produced different result. Finance is not a material concept but is social science, which contains a wider scope. I am very glad to involving discovering unknown things in this field. Just like discussion, many members’ thoughts inspired me and we got satisfied results. Finance is a social science which embodied human being is the essential. We could cultivate our academic taste during the learning symposia and academic discussion process. In the practices we could cultivate intuition added combination with academic background and mathematic theory; we could understand finance better.
So I pay attention to connect theory and practices more than before, in my spare time I took part in social practices, for example I visited “international finance” of newspaper office and “Shanghai stock exchange”, besides I took part in planning for the “second finance year meeting” in Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. During the process, I met many finance people and got a chance for visiting Holland bank. Moreover I often consulted lots of finance journals and website materials etc. In order to connect theory with practices better, I carried on special researches on these problems.
For example, I began to research “RMB Globalization problem” and its aim was to review substantial economy and non-substantial economy how to influence currency international globalization from demonstration and theory angle to help us understand the experiences and lessons happened on the process of each national currency globalization and offered some feasible references for RMB international globalization. I connected the fact of our national economy development, especially, the base fact of RMB used by some nations around China, through researching the general rule of currency internationalization globalization, to discuss the problem on RMB international globalization process.
First, I reviewed the main countries’ currency globalization process in the world, and found that currency globalization must have two basic conditions. The first was rich economy strength; the second was to keep valuta long stabilization. Second, I pointed out RMB globalization was the necessity choice of our national economy persisting development and the benefit of currency globalization according to the impersonality requirement of economical globalization development, and RMB globalization would more enlarge the degree for opening to foreign.
At the same time I thought that stable, quickly developmental national economy and larger economical scope made RMB of our country globalization strengthens and higher ability against risk, the last part emphasized the process of RMB globalization and the research on keeping away from risk. The process of RMB internationalization was: first implement RMB regional strategy on the basis of East Asia currency cooperation and East Asian free trade, then implement RMB globalization stratagem under many perfect factors influence.
But during this process, it was very difficult for me to research non-substantiality economy in China. At present familiar to us, it was the stock market, while in China the stock market system did not very perfect and exist some problems on efficiency, security and fair. A close relative of mine fought cancer for two years. I was much younger then, and did not understand why the doctors only wanted to “make her comfortable”, but now I do; and that is partly why I want to become a physician myself: not only to work on cures for various diseases but also to make ill people feel better, because, though I admire research, I first and foremost see myself as a practising physician. Also, I have been fascinated with babies and pregnant women ever since a child, so fascinated in fact that for two years running I insisted every morning on my mother telling me the story of my birth. From an early age on, then, this interest has led me gain a fair amount of knowledge on the human body and how it works.
I joined the Scouts when I was six years old, and continued with them for five years. During that time, I received a First-Aid badge and was nominated “Guide” of my group, which meant that I had to lead the way during orientation tests and hikes. These made me develop leadership, communication and organisational skills that I have used and valued ever since. More recently, I tried to volunteer at a local hospital, but the Portuguese NHS only accepts helpers over 18 years old. Instead, therefore, I volunteered at the Lisbon Zoo every weekend from December through April . This experience has taught me to deal with unexpected situations, because visitors were directed to me whenever they had a question and because I met new people every week, as the volunteer body was constantly changing. I will take a First-Aid course with the Portuguese Red Cross from October 13th till 18th, and I have been accepted for a week of volunteering in the Health Centre of Sao Roque, in the island of Pico, Azores, during the month of April under the supervision of Dr. Merces Maciel.
Physical welfare is very important for me, and sports play a big role in my life. I have practised swimming for 12 years and, over the course of time, I have practised other sports, such as Taekwondo and Yoga, that taught me to relax in stressful times and environments. I feel that such knowledge can be very helpful during University Exams time and while coping with the busy life of a Medical student. In school, I have always been an excellent student, with an interest not only in science-related disciplines, but also in Literature, Philosophy and languages. I have always liked reading books, such as The Man Who Mistook his Wife for a Hat and other Clinical Tales by Oliver Sacks or Metamorphosis by Kafka, that introduced me to the intricacies of the mind, with which I am fascinated this year in my Psychology course. In Philosophy, I have a deep interest in Ethics, a theme I believe to be very close to Medicine. Next to Portuguese, I can speak and write English and French and can handle Spanish quite tolerably. I will sit the TOEFL on November 22nd.
A trait of my personality which I think differentiates me from other applicants is my creativity. I am a very creative and artistic person; I write poetry and make short movies. Creativity is, in my opinion, a very important characteristic of a good physician, as it is a help during investigation processes and in difficult diagnosis situations. In the future, I would like to specialise in Obstetrics, Paediatrics or Internal Medicine. I have made the decision of studying in the UK because I believe that British universities rate among the finest in the world and because I want to learn from the top-people in the fast changing field of Medicine. I have always been interested in Forensic Science & Biological Science and learning how different techniques and methods are used for solving crimes. In particular how the principles of bioinformatics are used in detection and identification of microbes; how it is used in Forensic Science for detecting biocrime attacks and how to identify and examine skeletal remains of victims after long period of time. I have found learning about Genetic fingerprinting and how it is used for identifying a suspect and solving paternity cases particularly relevant because it is applicable to real situations. I am studying a BTEC National Diploma in Forensic Science. I have a naturally inquisitive mind and like to acquire new knowledge, especially in Forensic Entomology, Forensic Toxicology and Criminal Law. I also enjoy the laboratory work which consists of using laboratory techniques such as fractional distillation, gas, liquid and thin-layer chromatography. From the practical part of the course I have gained many analytical and problem solving skills and my great interest is analysing qualitative and quantitative data. During my course I have advanced on some very broad set of skills, including numeracy, teamwork, time management, making oral presentations, planning and organising my work. In my personal opinion teamwork underpins laboratory work.
I gained work experience in August 2007. I went for a holiday to Sri Lanka and I did volunteering work at the Coconut Research Institute. This is a huge scientific research institute where they experiment with the growth and cultivation of coconut palms. This provided me with the opportunity to observe and work shadow. Visiting the Institute was very informative as it gave me an insight in to how scientists work in a scientific laboratory. This made it possible for me to use some advanced laboratory equipments.
I had a part time job at the National Sea Life Centre in Birmingham. I have gained experience in assisting a Marine Biologist to test and clean the waters of the aquarium tanks. One of my duties was to look after children between 1-5 years old in the children's play area. This experience allowed me to develop my communication and observational skills which are very vital for the role as a Forensic Scientist. I will be needed to give evidence in court individually as well as working in a team.
My main interest is reading factual books. I particularly enjoyed: Microbial Forensics by Roger G. Breeze, Forensic and Criminal Psychology by Dennis Howitt and Fundamentals of Forensic Science by Academic Press. From reading books such as Microbial Forensics I have understood and learned valuable information on how Forensic Science is used for solving bioterrorism and biocrime attacks. I also read science magazines and journals like the Biological Science Review magazine and New Scientist Magazine.
I undertook extra curriculum activity which enabled me to achieve an award for the best effort in fundraising with an organisation called Hart in Birmingham. I helped them raise money for the Tsunami victims in Sri Lanka. I'm also helping the Marine Conservation Society by adopting a green turtle. Previously in my school I achieved a first aid certificate from the Red Cross in Birmingham along with a certificate from Dr. Patricia Houlston for getting involved in a lecture about experiencing the inner city life of a GP in Birmingham. This lecture was very useful because I learnt how professionals work and communicate in a clinical working environment. I was also involved in a role - play by pretending to be GP and communicating with a patient and doing this enhanced my communication skills. I'm a forward thinking and determined person. 第一种类型：F签证

美国留学要准备的考试
一、美国SAT考试

When selecting my A Level subjects, I seemed drawn to essay based courses. I enjoy writing and the courses undoubtedly helped my writing skills. However, I was required to make the opening of a film in Media, which was an experience to say the least! It increased my interest in Broadcast Journalism. Until that moment, I only had eyes for Print. Creative writing has always been one of my favourite aspects of English, and the coursework gave me the chance to write in whichever style I chose, one piece was a newspaper feature on Chelsea Football Club. I have always been interested in Sports Writing and Im considering specialising in it at a later date. I have chosen to continue four of my five AS Levels onto A2, even though it was not necessary. I have always found Psychology quite challenging as it involves deep levels of critical analysis, so I decided to carry on as I find it extremely intriguing. The different theories as to why humans do the things they do, attract me because I am interested in how people act, though one could hardly call me an anthropologist! My main priorities are English, Media and Sociology as I feel they will aid me most in my ambition, although I still find Psychology a fascinating subject.
I have often said that nothing is impossible, yet asking me to name my favourite book is asking too much. Some much-loved literature includes The Hobbit, Gone With The Wind, and Jane Eyre. In my opinion a good novel should evoke a variety of emotions from beginning to end. Music may not be my first love, but it is definitely one of my passions; I have high passes in grade 3 flute, singing, and grade 5 piano. Like my literary tastes, my choice of music is eclectic; I like anything from hip-hop to classical, soul to rock, and past to present. I also love Black history, musicals, and icons of film and music, such as Audrey Hepburn, John Lennon, and Sinatra.
